The number of fibre optic installations is increasing rapidly as part of cabling infrastructures. The training provides installers experience for full terminating, testing and installing of fibre optics. It is theoretical, practical and is rewarded with an A4 certificate.

Our scheme of a single day Fibre Structured Cabling Termination & Installation Course is based on 5 key aspects:

  • Fibre optic cabling theory
  • Practical detail: fibre stripping, cutting and cleaning
  • Cleaving, splicing and inspection
  • Fibre link testing

The training starts by exposing all the theoretical aspects of the industry and moves to a 100% practical course by using all the products that are involved in full termination; cleaving, splicing and inspection of fibre optic links, finishing with the use of a power meter and Britanic Cabling Production OTDR testing machines to gain the knowledge of testing and troubleshooting of a full-fibre optic link. The course is provided by a fully trained and highly qualified Britanic Cabling Production engineer, always following the latest fibre optic standards.

  • Provides the candidate with education on LAN topologies and installation techniques
  • Provides the candidate confidence on link testing, verification and troubleshooting
  • Every candidate is rewarded with an A4 certificate
